TBC Distinguished Guest Lecture Series - Ms Teresa Daban Sanchez, IMF ResRep, Nepal
Ms. Teresa Dabán Sánchez (Spain, 1965) is the Resident Representative of the International Monetary Fund to Nepal since May 1, 2022. She a highly experienced economist with a long and diverse career at the International Monetary Fund (IMF). Since 2013, she has worked as IMF's Resident Representative in Armenia and in Pakistan. Previously, she worked as senior desk economist on a number of African and Latin American countries, participated in Financial Sector Assessment Program missions, and led technical assistance missions on public financial management issues to a variety of countries. Prior to joining the IMF in 2000, Ms. Dabán Sánchez spent eight years at the Ministry of Finance in Spain. She holds master's degrees in economics from the Center of Financial and Monetary Studies of the Bank of Spain and the London School of Economics.

This year the TBC Distinguished Guest Lecture Series featured Ms Teresa Daban Sanchez, Resident Representative for Nepal for the International Monetary Fund. The four part guest series consisted of lectures on the role of the IMF, Nepal’s economic outlook, and the regional economic outlook - and ended with an insightful roundtable discussion on ““Harnessing Global Developments For Local Prosperity in Nepal”.
